Choosing a heat pump brand, is about much more than the unit itself.
1. Reliability
With close to 40 years of experience, we will only consider brands that have proven reliability. Alongside a great solution for your home, it is also very important that we consider the ownership experience over the lifetime of the unit.
Mitsubishi Electric & Toshiba account for about 95% of all the heat pumps we install. We have found that we have had minimal problems with these heat pumps compared to previous brands we have sold in the past.
Some heat pump companies might put pricing margins and sales incentives above reliability and quality, we prefer to sell a smaller range of units that we know and trust.
2. Support & Parts Availability
A huge consideration in the brands we supply is the support we get from the supplier. Supplier support and parts availability varies between country. A brand that has fantastic support in Australia does not necessarily have the same level of support or availability of parts in New Zealand.
We choose brands that have fantastic New Zealand support and parts availability. This is especially important during the Covid-19 pandemic as some manufacturers have very long delays in being able to ship parts to New Zealand.
One benefit of choosing a small range of brands that we know and trust is that over the years we have built up great relationships with our suppliers. In the unlikely event that there is a an issue with a unit, our great relationship with our suppliers means we get priority support.
3. Technician efficiency and knowledge
Selling a smaller range of heat pumps we know & trust means our technicians are very familiar with all of the heat pumps we sell. This also makes quoting & installation much more efficient as our technicians know exactly what supplies and parts they need for installation.
Our technicians also have lots of experience with how each unit works so that they can give you sound operational advice once installation is complete.
4. Feature availability
Your home is an important asset so the brands we choose to supply take into account your family's health, presentation of your home, the environment, quietness and cost effectiveness.
